Gold Mouse Award
This week, the Congressional Management Foundation recognized my website as one of the top six websites in the Senate, naming it a Gold Mouse Award winner for the second-straight year.
My website is my virtual office where Coloradans can find me at any time of the day. Meeting in person with my constituents is the best thing about my job, and engaging them online shortens the distance so that we can continue working together on policies that help to improve our Colorado quality of life.
Bradford Fitch, the president and CEO of CMF, said this:
Senator Udall is to be commended for educating citizens and achieving the highest degree of transparency and accountability in online communications. In the 21st century, a website is much more than a broadcasting tool for a political message - it's a virtual office and a window into our democratic institutions. These winners of the Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze Mouse Awards understand the value of using the Internet to enlighten and serve constituents, and are examples for all congressional offices to follow.
The website is one of the most important tools for me to stay in touch with Coloradans and to let them know about what I'm doing in Washington, D.C. I'm proud my website and my staff were recognized again this year, and we will continue to work to find more - and better - ways to connect with Coloradans.
